Reflection on Today's Verse
The cross flips the world’s logic upside down. People want a faith that feels impressive—something you can brag about, measure, or control. But the message of the cross is simple on purpose: you’re not rescued by your strength—you’re rescued by Christ’s finished work.
When life feels heavy, your heart will try to “do more” to feel secure. This verse pulls you back to what’s steady: God’s power isn’t your performance. It’s Jesus—crucified, risen, and enough. If you’re feeling weak today, that doesn’t disqualify you… it’s actually the perfect place for grace to feel real.
Today’s reminder: Don’t measure your standing with God by how strong you feel. Measure it by the cross.
Personal Prayer
Father God, thank You for the preaching of the cross… what the world calls foolishness, You have made to be the power of God unto salvation. Forgive me for the times I lean on my own wisdom, my own efforts, and my own pride. Teach my heart to rest in what Christ has already finished.
When I feel weak, anxious, or unsure, bring me back to the cross. Let it quiet my fears and humble my pride. Help me to walk today with simple faith… trusting Your grace, obeying Your truth, and loving others without trying to prove myself.
I give You this day. Keep me near to Christ, and let Your power be seen in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
