Reflection on Today's Verse
It’s easy to trust what looks smart… your plans, your instincts, your “I can handle this” mode. Remember that God isn’t impressed by polished confidence. He’s after surrendered hearts.
Sometimes the “wisest” move in God’s eyes is to slow down, admit you don’t know everything, and let His Word correct your direction. Real wisdom isn’t proving you’re right… it’s letting God lead, even when it humbles you.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, I come before Thee with a humble heart. Forgive me for the times I have leaned on my own understanding and trusted in the wisdom of this world. Teach me to fear Thee and to walk in Thy truth.
Lord, remove pride from me and give me a quiet spirit that is willing to be corrected. Let Thy Word guide my choices today. Keep me from craftiness, self-deception, and the need to appear wise before men. Make me wise in Thy sight through humility, obedience, and faith.
