Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. — 1 Corinthians 12:3 KJV
Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. — 1 Corinthians 12:3 NIV
Reflection
Repeat this statement as often as you can during the day: “Jesus is Lord.” However, you should go beyond simply saying it and actually mean it. Find all the occurrences of the word “Lord” in the New Testament by looking it up in a concordance and reading those passages. Be willing to let Jesus into your heart, and ask him to take control of your life. Jesus Christ is the Lord! He will always be like that, regardless of whether you or I acknowledge it or not. One day, however, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. This day will come.
Let’s just jump on board while it’s still important to us and the people we care about the most.
My Prayer
We give you thanks, Lord God Almighty, for resurrecting Jesus from the grave, elevating him to the position of power at your right hand, and establishing him as both Lord and Christ. I want your Son, Jesus, to rule over my life starting today and continuing until the day when he returns to take me to heaven. In the name of Jesus Christ, my Redeemer and Lord, I publicly acknowledge that I have sinned. Amen.
