Reflection

People who are wise do not feel the need to demonstrate their wisdom by treating others with disrespect and putting them down. Instead, they choose to keep their mouths shut and allow the example set by their lives demonstrate what is true, noble, and right. We are commanded to provide a blessing with our words, even if we live in a world that is full of sarcasm and a culture that admires people who are able to put others down in a snappy and cutting way, especially when those “put downs” are delivered quickly.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, grant me insight in the way that I choose to use my words. I pray that it will be a source of blessing for all around you and praise for you as well. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
