O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth. — Psalm 96:9 KJV
Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth. — Psalm 96:9 NIV
Reflection
In Christ, God’s holiness isn’t a threat, yet an enormous wonderful sight. He cherishes us, He accounts us currently holy and without defect in Christ, He is gradually developing in us a genuine lived holiness, and we can hardly envision how delightful we will be the point at which we meet God in glory, but to believe that we will be like Him, since we will see Him as He is. Our call, meanwhile, is to adore Him in the beauty of His holiness and, amazingly, in the magnificence of our own holiness in Christ.
My Prayer
Dear God, I worship and praise You for Your glory, might, grace, and mercy. I hunger for the day when I can see Your great splendor face to face and join the angels of heaven in eternal worship and praise. In Jesus that I give You praise. Amen.
