The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined. — Psalm 10:2 KJV
In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak, who are caught in the schemes he devises. — Psalm 10:2 NIV
Reflection
God totally despises intimidation and violence, or any means utilized for the strong to control, manipulate, or hound the people who are weaker. He detests wickedness that depends upon the strong for the mighty preying after the feeble and frail. We ought to, by our resources and actions, exhibit both to the weak and the feeble that there is God who loves us and will protect us.
My Prayer
Give me a heart, O God, that despises the maltreatment of influence and the abuse of riches. I am grateful, dear God, for sending Jesus to save me when I was weak to achieve salvation. Grant me a heart like Jesus when I see others being exploited. In Jesus name. Amen.
