Thought and Reflection
During a time where respect is mostly secret and, surprisingly, less working on, showing honor for the people who are older is frequently neglected. However here, by the LORD’s own word, recognizing the elderly ranks straight up there with reverencing God.
We ought not be astounded, since God made respecting guardians the absolute first rule coordinated at our relationship with others.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for my parents in this world and in the faith. Please give those who have been my spiritual teachers a blessing.
Help me as I grow older to not only mature, but to also gain the character that will be needed by those whom you have placed before me to influence others. Please restore dignity and respect to our relationships before You in our generation. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
