O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever! — Deuteronomy 5:29 KJV

Reflection
God desires our obedience to stem from a genuine love and fear of Him. This isn’t about fear as we commonly understand it, but a reverential awe and respect for His holiness, majesty, and love. It is this kind of fear that leads to wholehearted obedience.
When we align our hearts and actions with God’s will, it brings about blessings not just for us but also for our children. This is a generational blessing, reflecting God’s desire for His people to experience His goodness throughout the ages.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your word and for revealing Your heart to us through the scriptures. Incline our hearts to fear You, not with a fear that repels, but with a reverence that draws us closer to You. Help us to keep Your commands not out of obligation but out of love and devotion. May our lives reflect Your goodness and bring blessings to our families and future generations. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
