Reflection on Today's Verse
eternal life rests on the character of God, not on the changing promises of people. Men can fail, forget, exaggerate, or break their word, but God cannot lie. What He promised before the world began is not uncertain, delayed by accident, or dependent on human weakness.
This verse gives strong comfort because our hope is not built on feelings, circumstances, or personal performance. Some days faith feels strong, and some days the heart feels tired. But God’s truth remains the same. His promise is older than our fears, stronger than our doubts, and more certain than anything this world can offer.
Personal Prayer
Lord God, thank You for the hope of eternal life through Your promise. Thank You that You cannot lie, and that Your Word is sure even when my heart feels uncertain. Help me rest in Your truth today and not in my own feelings, fears, or understanding.
Teach me to trust Your promises more deeply. Remind me that my hope is secure because it comes from You, the faithful and unchanging God. Strengthen my faith, calm my worries, and help me walk today with confidence in Your Word.
