For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. — Romans 8:38-39 KJV
Bible Verse Reflection
Love is the foundation of faith. God sent His son Jesus Christ into the world as a sacrifice for sins. In doing so, He gave rise to faith.
These verses are meant to encourage faith in God.
These verses make it seem like God is asking us to understand that Jesus didn’t suffer such severe punishment on earth as He did here, so that we don’t have to face hardships.
These verses are God’s way of encouraging us to find comfort and inspiration. These verses show how God views us. God places a high value upon our lives. Nothing past, present, or future, alive or dead, can be used to take away our lives.
Jesus Christ was crucified once and for all. He paid the price for us, and He is determined that nothing can ever separate us from Him or His love.
Let’s not lose sight of the Lord in these difficult times. Let us keep our eyes on Him and have faith in God.
My Prayer
Thank you, Father, for allowing nothing to separate me from Your incredible love and eternal grace in Christ Jesus, my Lord. I sometimes imagine things that would separate me from You.
But Your Word clearly teaches me that nothing can ever take me out of my place in Christ Jesus. Today, help me to believe this truth and never doubt Your love for you. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
