Romans 3:21-22 – Today’s Verse for September 18, 2024 Wednesday

“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe.”
Romans 3:21-22 KJV

Reflection on Today's Verse

This is one of those passages that really makes you stop and think about the beauty of God’s grace. It talks about how God’s righteousness isn’t something we earn by following the law, but rather, it’s given to us through faith in Jesus. No matter who we are or what we’ve done, this righteousness is available to everyone who believes.

What I love about this is the reminder that God’s love doesn’t come with conditions. So often, we think we need to do more, be better, or somehow clean up our act before we can approach God. But here, Paul is saying, “No, God’s already taken care of that.” It’s not about how good we are, but about how good God is. Faith in Jesus is what bridges that gap, and it’s something we all can access, no matter our background or struggles.

It’s humbling, isn’t it? To realize that it’s not about striving or earning but about accepting a gift we could never deserve on our own. This passage invites us to rest in that truth—knowing that through Christ, we’re made right with God. All we need to do is believe.

Personal Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the incredible gift of Your grace. I’m humbled by the reminder in this passage that it’s not about what I do or how perfect I try to be, but about what You’ve already done for me through Jesus. Help me to fully grasp that Your righteousness is a gift given through faith, not something I have to earn.

When I feel like I’m not enough, remind me that in Christ, I am made right with You. Strengthen my faith so that I can live in the freedom of Your love, trusting that Your grace is more than enough. Thank You for making a way for me, even when I fall short.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
