Thought and Reflection

The Old Testament anticipates another time, when law isn’t the premise of righteousness. The Law and Prophets testify for this time. This righteousness comes from God and is based on the sacrificial work of Jesus who frees us from law and brings to us God’s grace. The main problem for us is trust – many today confuse believing for just reasoning something in one’s mind, while the Bible views belief as something that includes our heart and changes our way of behaving.

So what is the premise on which you are building your life today? What is the measure of your righteousness? On what is your security tied? Say thanks to God we can trust our life, our future, and our salvation to Jesus Christ and not to keeping the law.
