Romans 15:7 – Today’s Verse for April 10, 2025 Thursday

“Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.“
Romans 15:7 KJV

Reflection on Today's Verse

Here’s the wild part: Jesus didn’t wait for us to get our act together before He welcomed us. He didn’t make a checklist or hand us a spiritual résumé to fill out. He just—accepted us. Fully. Lovingly. No disclaimers.

So when Paul tells us to accept each other like that, he’s not talking about tolerating people we find annoying. He’s talking about real, gut-level, grace-soaked welcome. The kind where you don’t flinch at someone’s mess because, let’s be honest, you’ve got your own.

This isn’t about pretending everyone’s fine or ignoring sin. It’s about seeing people through the same mercy-drenched lens God used for you. It’s humbling. And kind of freeing. Because it means we don’t have to be gatekeepers—we get to be greeters. We get to reflect a God who flings the door wide open, not one who guards it with a clipboard.

Accept one another. Not because they earned it. But because you didn’t either.

Personal Prayer

Lord, You welcomed me when I was a mess. You didn’t hesitate. You didn’t hold back. You saw everything—my pride, my fear, my past—and still, You pulled me close.

Help me do that for others.
I confess, it’s not easy. Some people test my patience. Some people trigger old wounds. But You didn’t flinch when You saw mine. So teach me to love with that same open heart.

Remind me that I’m not called to fix people, just to love them. Not to judge, just to reflect You. Let my heart stay soft. Let my arms stay open. Let my ego stay out of the way.

Make me a walking invitation to grace. Amen.
