Romans 11:33 – Today’s Verse for September 3, 2025 Wednesday

“O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!“
—   Romans 11:33 KJV

Reflection on Today's Verse

Ever stare at the sky and feel small—not in a crushed way, but in awe? That’s what this verse does to me. Paul’s not making a theological point here; he’s erupting in wonder. He reaches the limits of explanation and just worships.

God doesn’t just know more than us. He knows differently. We calculate. He creates. We guess. He decides. And the more I think I’ve figured out how He works, the more He pulls the rug and says, “You’re watching shadows. I’m painting galaxies.”

There are days I demand to know “why.” I want logic, symmetry, fairness—my kind of fair. But then I remember: if I could fully understand God, He’d be small enough to fit in my brain. That’s not a God worth worshipping. That’s a God I’d outgrow.

So maybe the unanswered prayers, the strange timing, the open doors that shut—maybe that’s mercy dressed like mystery.

Have you ever thanked Him for not explaining everything?

Personal Prayer

Father, You don’t owe me answers, but still You give me Yourself. When I reach for control, remind me who’s holding the universe. I won’t pretend to understand, but I will choose to trust.

Your thoughts tower over mine—and that’s exactly why I can rest. Amen.
