For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. — Psalm 37:28 KJV
For the Lord loves justice
And does not abandon His godly ones; they are protected forever,
But the descendants of the wicked will be eliminated. — Psalm 37:28 NASB
Reflection
Think about how many times we feel discouraged when injustice seems to win or when the wicked prosper. But this verse is a quiet reassurance. It’s as if God is saying, “Don’t worry. I’ve got this.” The wicked may appear to flourish for a time, but in the end, it is righteousness that stands firm.
What’s beautiful here is that God is deeply invested in justice. He doesn’t just tolerate the just; He loves them. That’s a powerful affirmation. It means that every act of kindness, every choice to walk in integrity, every moment we resist the temptation to take shortcuts in life—these things matter to God. They aren’t lost in the noise of the world.
God’s timeline is different from ours, and His justice will prevail. Our job is to remain faithful, knowing that God, in His love, never forsakes those who seek to do His will. In the end, righteousness will have the last word.
My Prayer
Lord, I pray for the grace to reflect Your love and justice in my daily life. May I be a light in the midst of darkness, showing kindness, integrity, and compassion to those around me. When I witness wrongdoing or feel overwhelmed by the unfairness of life, give me the patience to trust that You will make all things right in Your perfect timing.
Thank You for never abandoning me. Even in moments of doubt, I rest in the assurance that You are faithful, and Your love will carry me through. I pray that my life be a testimony of Your goodness and justice.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
