A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. — Psalm 37:16-17 KJV
Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous. — Psalm 37:16-17 NIV
Thought and Reflection
What is your primary capital? Money or the character of yours? I’m sure you’ll find that this issue is likely to be asked of you in many ways, typically at the worst of times in which you’re most vulnerable. Martin Luther supposedly said that the only thing that could be transformed in a person was his money. What do you think?
Would you rather select the smallest of the righteous or the riches of the wronged? A tough decision in a pinch. Therefore, let’s decide right now, before things alter. God is the only way to get His kingdom, His plan and His righteousness, are first isn’t it?
My Prayer
Almighty God, Creator and the owner of everything, grant me a passion for righteousness and a hatred for covetousness and greed. Teach me to serve You with a wholehearted heart that is not influenced by the value of material things in life.
Help me to make decisions based on what pleases your heart. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
