Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. — Proverbs 2:14 KJV
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. — Psalm 27:14 NIV
Bible Verse Reflection
If there’s anything we do not like doing and that’s waiting. Perhaps that’s why God is so keen on our learning how to do it! It is a way of purifying staying strong in difficult times and staying faithful even when the winds are threatening. This is why God provides us with moments of waiting to determine whether our quest is truly in His name or simply to find something new or easy.
My Prayer
Dear Father, I am aware that you’ve waited for me many times to demonstrate my faith, confess my sins, improve in holy living, be with you with prayer, become more mature, and give to those who can’t repay my love.
Please help me in waiting for you to guide me by my actions and to take action to ease my burden, and to be able to reveal your presence to me in my emptiness. I truly seek you with all my being. I pray in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
