Psalm 143:10 – Today’s Verse for February 28, 2025 Friday

“Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.“
Psalm 143:10 KJV

Reflection on Today's Verse

David, in the middle of distress, isn’t asking for an escape route or a shortcut. He’s asking God to teach him how to walk rightly. That takes humility. A lot of us (myself included) tend to pray for outcomes—we want the problem solved, the pain gone, the path made clear. But David prays for alignment. Not my will, Lord, but Yours.

And then there’s this phrase: “May your good Spirit lead me on level ground.” Level ground represents steadiness, a place where we can walk without stumbling. It reminds me that God’s guidance isn’t just about pointing in the right direction—it’s about making the journey possible. He doesn’t just give us a destination; He walks with us, steadying our steps.

Maybe you’re in a season where everything feels uncertain, like the ground beneath you is shifting. This verse reminds us that when we let God teach us—when we lean into His wisdom instead of our own—He leads us to solid ground. Not always easy ground, but stable, steady, purposeful.

So today, instead of just asking God for solutions, let’s ask Him to teach us. To shape us. To lead us in a way that aligns our hearts with His. Because sometimes the miracle isn’t just in the answer—it’s in the transformation along the way.

Personal Prayer

Heavenly Father, teach me to do Your will—not just to know it, but to live it. You are my God, the One who sees beyond what I can understand. When my heart wrestles with uncertainty, remind me that Your way is always good, always right, even when I don’t see the full picture.

Lead me, Lord. Let Your Spirit guide my steps, steady my heart, and place my feet on solid ground. When I feel lost, be my compass. When I feel weak, be my strength. I don’t just want direction—I want to walk closely with You, trusting that Your path is better than my own.

Shape my desires to reflect Yours. Align my will with Your purpose. And give me the faith to follow, even when the way feels unclear.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
