Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. — Psalm 143:1 KJV
Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief. — Psalm 143:1 NIV
Thought and Reflection
Occasionally are downright extreme. Those we care about are hurting. Our plans are failing to work out. Our prayers appear to skip off the roof and fall at our feet. We shout out to God – at times out of resentment, now and then in desperation, however particularly for mercy. We want help. We need hope. We want God to answer.
My Prayer
Heavenly and Righteous Father, please grant me relief from my struggles with wrongdoings, with disease, with discouragement, with friends who are untrue, and with enemies who work for my humiliation and discouragement. I need Your help. I need Your mercy. Lord, I need to know Your presence and power in my life today. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
