Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. — Proverbs 31:8 KJV
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. — Proverbs 31:8 NIV
Thought and Reflection
Christians in each era are called to safeguard the freedoms of the frail, support the disappointed, and protect the existence of the people who are defenseless.
This extensive call is the incredible reminder that the favors, freedoms, abundance, and power we might have isn’t our own alone; it is a gift from God to be utilized to favor those who have no ability to talk, to guard, or to protect themselves.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, grant me a passion to protect those who are defenseless against abuse, abandonment, and to assault. Use us, and particularly Father, please use me, to be a redemptive force in the time and the circle of impact in which I live. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
