Proverbs 10:24 – Today’s Verse for July 31, 2025 Thursday

“The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: But the desire of the righteous shall be granted.“
—  Proverbs 10:24 KJV

Reflection on Today's Verse

This verse slices straight through human worry. It draws a line between fear and faith. The wicked? They live haunted by the things they hope never happen. They walk in shadows they created themselves. Dread becomes prophecy. They try to outrun justice, but their fear eventually catches up.

The righteous, though—they carry desire instead of dread. And not just any desire. It’s the kind that’s shaped by God’s goodness, not by greed. That longing gets granted, not because the righteous manipulate the universe, but because they trust the One who made it. There’s no magic formula—just a heart aligned with God’s will.

This verse isn’t about instant rewards or karma. It’s about how we live inside what we believe. Fear builds prisons. Faith opens doors. The wicked brace for impact. The righteous expect fulfillment. What we expect often becomes what we receive.

Personal Prayer

Lord, keep my heart from fear that imagines the worst. Teach me to want what You want, to hope without trembling.

When the world shouts doom, remind me I belong to a different kingdom—one where righteousness bears fruit, and fear has no voice.

Replace dread with delight, and may my desires reflect Your heart. Amen.
