Philippians 1:9-10 – Today’s Verse for March 27, 2025 Thursday

“And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.“
Philippians 1:9-10 KJV

Reflection on Today's Verse

Here’s what I love about these verses—they remind us how important love is. Paul is praying that our love will grow more and more. But not just any kind of love—it’s love that’s wise. Love that understands.

Sometimes we think loving people just means being nice. But Paul says love is more. It’s about knowing what’s good and right, seeing clearly what’s important and what isn’t. The more we understand God, the better we become at truly loving others.

And there’s a reason for this kind of love. It helps us choose what really matters. It keeps us honest and genuine in our hearts. When we learn to love like this, our lives become simpler, cleaner, and more focused on what pleases Jesus.

So, how do we do this? We spend time with God. We talk to Him, listen, and read what He says. The closer we stay to Him, the better our love becomes. It naturally spills out into our choices, our friendships, and our everyday moments.

My prayer for us is simple—that we’ll love wisely, live clearly, and be ready when we meet Jesus face-to-face.

Personal Prayer

Father, thank you for showing me what real love looks like. Help me to grow in love every day. Teach me how to love with wisdom, understanding what’s right and good. Keep my heart simple and pure.

Guide my choices so that I focus on what matters most to you. When I feel lost or confused, remind me to look to you for direction. I want my life to reflect your love clearly. Prepare me each day to be ready for Jesus. Amen.
