Reflection on Today's Verse
Anger is a natural human emotion, but God’s Word reminds us that what we do with it matters. Anger left unchecked can slowly harden our hearts, fracture relationships, and give place to the enemy (Ephesians 4:27). God isn’t telling us never to feel anger—but to handle it in righteousness. Forgiveness, humility, and reconciliation are not signs of weakness—they are signs of Christ living in us.
Is there someone you’re holding anger toward? A situation you keep replaying in your mind? Today is an invitation to release it before the sun goes down. Not because they “deserve” it, but because Christ forgave us first. Peace comes when we surrender our right to stay angry and choose grace instead.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your patience and mercy toward me. I confess that at times I hold onto anger longer than I should. Help me to respond the way Jesus did—with love, truth, and grace. Soften my heart where it has grown hard. Give me the courage to forgive, to seek peace, and to let go of bitterness.
Lord, guard my heart and mind from thoughts that fuel resentment. Fill me with Your Spirit so that my words and actions reflect Your character. May I not let the sun go down on my wrath, but rest in Your peace today.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
