Reflection on Today's Verse
We are not the source of our own spiritual strength. We may try to rely on our intelligence, discipline, experience, or good intentions, but Paul makes it clear: our sufficiency is of God.
This is comforting because God never asks the believer to live the Christian life by fleshly confidence. The same God who saved us by grace is the same God who supplies what we need day by day. Our wisdom, patience, faithfulness, and service must come from Him, not from self-effort or religious pride.
When we stop trusting in ourselves and rest in God’s sufficiency, we learn to serve with humility, walk with peace, and give Him the glory for every good thing.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that my sufficiency is not in myself, but in You. Help me not to depend on my own strength, wisdom, or effort, but to trust in Your grace and power each day.
Teach me to walk humbly, serve faithfully, and remember that every good thing comes from You. When I feel weak, remind me that You are enough. When I feel confident in myself, bring my heart back to dependence on You.
Thank You for the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ and for the grace that supplies what I could never produce on my own.
