Reflection

Imagine you’re standing in a garden, looking at two flowers. One is blooming beautifully, its petals wide open, basking in the sunlight. The other is closed up tight, its petals wilted, as if it’s too worried to grow. Now, imagine that these flowers are like us, and the sunshine is God’s love. When we worry too much about things we can’t control, it’s like we’re closing ourselves off from God’s light.

Worry doesn’t help us grow or make us stronger. Instead, it just makes us feel heavy, like a wilted flower.

There was once a young boy named Sam who loved to play basketball. But he worried a lot about missing shots. He was so afraid of failing that he stopped enjoying the game. His coach noticed and said, “Sam, you can’t make every shot, but you can trust that each one you take gets you closer to success. Don’t let worry steal your joy.”

Sam’s coach was right, and so is Jesus. When we spend too much time worrying, we miss out on the good things God has planned for us. Instead of worrying, we can trust that God is always with us, ready to help us grow and bloom like a beautiful flower.

So, next time you start to worry, remember Sam, the flowers, and the words of Jesus. Let go of your worries, and trust in God’s love to help you blossom.

My Prayer

Dear God, thank You for always being with me. When I start to worry, please help me trust in You. Give me peace in my heart and strength to face each day. Help me remember that I don’t have to do everything on my own because You are always by my side.

Thank You for Your love and care. I trust You, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
