Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. — Matthew 5:16 KJV
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. — Matthew 5:16 NIV
Thought and Reflection
As Christians, we aren’t supposed to separate ourselves from the world of culture. We aren’t called to be monks or hermits. Instead, we must be aware that we live in the midst of darkness and shine as light not as small candles hidden in an inside bedroom, but instead as candles set on stands, so that everyone can see their glow or cities which cannot be hidden.
Our goal isn’t to draw our attention to ourselves however, we want to help people see the amazing goodness of our God.
My Prayer
Dear Father in Heaven I pray that my life will bless people today and throughout the day so that they perceive your love for them and You more than they can see. In Jesus Name, I ask. Amen.
