Reflection on Today's Verse
Righteousness is not something you earn by trying harder. It is something God imputes through faith. That changes everything. It means your peace with God does not rest on how strong you feel today, how consistent you have been, or how well you think you are doing. It rests on Christ.
Abraham was counted righteous because he believed God. In the same way, you are not accepted because of your own works, but because you believe on Him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead. That is a deep comfort when your heart feels weak. Faith does not point to your strength. It points to God’s faithfulness.
So when doubt whispers that you are not enough, remember this: your standing before God is not based on your performance. It is based on His grace, received by faith. That gives rest to the weary soul.
Personal Prayer
Father, thank You that righteousness is not something I have to earn. Thank You that through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, You have made a way for me to stand accepted before You. When my heart feels weak, help me to look away from myself and rest in what Christ has already done. Strengthen my faith. Calm my fears.
Remind me that Your promise is sure, Your grace is enough, and Your word is true. Thank You for raising Jesus from the dead and giving me hope, peace, and assurance in Him. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
