Reflection on Today's Verse
God is not only the Lord over heaven and earth… He is also the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort. That means when your heart feels burdened, when your thoughts feel restless, or when you are quietly carrying pain no one else sees, God is not cold or far away. He meets you with mercy. He comforts you with tenderness.
Comfort does not begin with your strength. It begins with His character. He is merciful by nature. He is comforting by nature. So when life feels heavy, you do not have to pretend you are fine. You can come to Him honestly, knowing that the God you come to is full of compassion.
Personal Prayer
Father, thank You for being the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. When my heart feels weary, when my mind feels troubled, and when life feels heavier than I know how to carry, help me remember that You are near.
Teach me to rest in Your mercy instead of my own strength. Comfort me in the places where I feel weak, anxious, or discouraged. Fill my heart with peace that does not depend on circumstances, but on who You are.
Thank You for Your kindness, Your compassion, and Your faithful presence. Help me trust You more today, and let Your comfort steady my heart.
