Reflection on Today's Verse
Fear has a way of making everything feel heavier than it really is. It can make you doubt your next step, question your strength, and forget what God has already given you in Christ. Fear therefore is not your inheritance. God has not equipped you to live in torment, hesitation, or inward collapse. He has given you power to stand, love to respond with grace, and a sound mind to stay steady in truth.
That does not mean you will never feel afraid. It means fear does not have to rule you. In Christ, you can face pressure without being owned by it. You can move forward even when your emotions feel shaky. You can rest in the fact that God’s grace is greater than the panic of the moment. His truth brings stability to your heart and clarity to your mind.
Personal Prayer
Father, thank You that You have not given me the spirit of fear. Thank You for giving me power, love, and a sound mind through Christ. When my heart feels anxious and my thoughts feel unsettled, help me remember what You have freely given me.
Teach me to stand in Your grace instead of surrendering to fear. Let Your truth quiet my mind, strengthen my heart, and guide my steps today. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
