But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you. — Luke 6:27 KJV
But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you. — Luke 6:27 NIV
Thought and Reflection
Jesus is the ideal model of this commandment through His life, and even His death. It is a redemptive and life-changing impact. While not everyone will respond but some respond.
Although being kind to our actions and loving with our hearts towards those who are not like us isn’t easy but God’s Spirit can infuse us with Jesus love and guide us in living an exemplary life of grace when we are in the presence of those who do not like us.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, I admit that I’m not happy with a handful of persons in my personal life. They are determined to attack and belittle, hurt and attack me.
I ask You to give me the strength to withstand their attacks and assist me to react to them in a manner that is righteous and redemptive. In the powerful and redeeming Jesus’ name Jesus I ask. Amen.
