And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. — Luke 2:6-7 KJV
While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. — Luke 2:6-7 NIV
Bible Verse Reflection
I’ve always been awestruck by the way God chose to bring his Son in our world. He could have accomplished it in any way He desired. However, He chose this route to be born into the world in a difficult situation as an infant in need of help and was cared for by parents who were susceptible to many flaws.
But despite the difficulties that were ahead, and the baffling mysteries that confronted them Joseph and Mary together with everyone else around them were immersed in the immense joy of this child. We thank God for this new hope.
My Prayer
Dear God, please give me an attitude of faith. Help me to always be able to see your grace and sovereignty pouring out upon me in specific ways. I am ecstatic to know that You, the Creator and Sustainer of the whole universe, chose to come into my world as a young child.
Thank you for granting Your divine salvation to the human body so that we could be sure that You believed we were worthy of being in our world and making us right with You. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
