Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord. — Leviticus 19:18 KJV
Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord. — Leviticus 19:18 NIV
Thought and Reflection
It is exhausting to hold on to bitterness or keep grudges alive. This leaves little energy to bless others, praise God, and enjoy life.
To overcome a bitter heart towards others, you must actively love and serve them in ways that will bless their lives. We don’t have to do this because it’s difficult, but because we love God and want to please Him!
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, please take away from my heart any cynicism, or joy in watching others fall. Help me to be a rescuer, not one who do not help. Your grace should be shown in my friendships. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
