Reflection on Today's Verse
Christ’s resurrection is not only a past event, but the foundation of every believer’s future hope. Because Christ is risen, death has been defeated, the grave has lost its final power, and those who belong to Him have a sure promise of resurrection life.
The word “firstfruits” shows that Christ’s resurrection is the beginning of what God will also accomplish for His people. He rose first, and those who are in Him will follow. This gives the believer confidence, comfort, and strength to keep standing in the gospel, knowing that our labor, faith, and hope are not in vain.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the victory we have through the risen Christ. Thank You that our hope is not empty, because Christ is risen from the dead and has become the firstfruits of them that slept.
Help me to live today with resurrection confidence, not fear. Strengthen my heart to stand firmly in the gospel and to remember that my future is secure in Christ. May His finished work give me peace, courage, and joy as I walk by faith.
