Reflection on Today's Verse
Christ did not wait for us to become strong, worthy, or spiritually impressive before He died for us. He came when we were “without strength,” unable to save ourselves and helpless before God. That is the beauty of grace: salvation begins with what Christ has done, not with what man can offer.
This verse gives comfort to every believer. Our hope is not in our own power, discipline, or goodness. Our hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for the ungodly at the right time according to God’s perfect plan. Because of Him, the helpless can be saved, the guilty can be forgiven, and the weak can rest in grace.
Personal Prayer
Lord God, thank You for Your grace shown through the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. I know that without Him, I have no strength to save myself. Thank You that Christ died for the ungodly and made salvation possible through His finished work.
Help me to rest in Your grace and not in my own efforts. Strengthen my faith, humble my heart, and remind me daily that my hope is found in Christ alone. Amen.
