Reflection on Today's Verse
Faith is not just something we believe quietly in the heart—it is something we take up and use in the battle. The enemy’s fiery darts may come as fear, discouragement, doubt, temptation, or accusations, but God has given the believer a shield.
That shield is faith: confidence in who God is, what Christ has finished, and what His Word says is true. When the mind is attacked, we do not have to answer every fear with our own strength. We can stand behind the truth of God’s grace and say, “The Lord is my strength, Christ is enough, and His Word is sure.”
Personal Prayer
Lord, strengthen my faith today.
When fear, doubt, temptation, or discouragement comes against me, help me to lift up the shield of faith and stand firm in Your truth. Remind me that my confidence is not in myself, but in Christ and in the victory He has already secured.
Teach me to trust Your Word more than my feelings, Your grace more than my weakness, and Your power more than the attacks around me. Keep my heart steady, my mind guarded, and my spirit anchored in You.
