And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one. — John 10:28-30 KJV
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” — John 10:28-30 NIV
Thought and Reflection
“He’s got the whole world in his hand.” Yes, the song may be true, but in a much more special way, God holds his children of faith in his hand. As long as their lives are entrusted to him and his grace, no one or nothing can steal them away.
For nothing can separate us from the love of God – neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, is able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord – for we are one with Him. He is ours and we are His. Hallelujah…
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, there have been times when I have doubted my eternal security in You, but You are faithful Shepherd Whose Word is trusted forever. Thank You that I am held so securely in the mighty hands of my Saviour, my God and my King, and that nothing can separate me from Your wonderful presence.
Thank You for the gift of eternal life and the promise that nothing can snatch me from Your hand nor can separate me from Your gracious love. In Jesus name pray. Amen.
