Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. — Jeremiah 33:3 KJV
Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. — Jeremiah 33:3 NIV
Bible Verse Reflection
Sometimes we don’t see the whole picture. But, God invites us to trust Him regardless and call upon Him. He promises to do great and powerful things for us. His healing, truth, building, restoring, and mercy are the great and powerful things. But do not forget the source. It is Jesus Christ. This text was about Israel’s answer. He is the answer to all our problems today! He would be the one to bring about justice and righteousness, and then deliverance.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for being a faithful and good God. Your Word will stand firm for ever and ever. We thank You for Your promise to Israel and the Church that they will remain ‘yes’ and “amen” in Christ Jesus our Lord. We are grateful that You are a listening God who hears the cries and calls of Your people. And thank You for Your many precious promises that will not fail because You are faithful to Your Word.
It’s amazing to know that God’s faithful men, such as Jeremiah were willing to suffer mocking, loneliness and imprisonment in order to have the holy Scriptures that guide us to all truth. And thank You that Jesus was sent to die for our sins and to endure the pain and suffering on the Cross so that He might reign with us forever. We praise Your holy name. Amen.

Alona Smith writes like she sketches—quick strokes, bold colors, no eraser. She ran a small-town art studio before VerseForTheDay invited her to swap charcoal for chapters, yet paint still flecks her keyboard. Dawn finds her barefoot on the porch, swirling watercolors across a travel Bible, letting sunrise seep into the margins. Neighbors wave as she bikes to the farmers’ market, basket rattling with sunflowers and Psalms scribbled on kraft-paper price tags.Alona trusts that Scripture behaves like clay: press your palms in, and a vessel appears where empty air once lived. Afternoon workshops with foster teens prove the point; they mold hope into coffee mugs, then watch steam carry it forward.Diplomas? Only framed sketches of hands lifted in worship. Awards? A dog-eared gratitude list taped to her fridge. Open her reflections when cynicism scratches—she’ll slide a brush into your grip and show you light hiding in the smear of everyday color.
