Reflection on Today's Verse
You came into this world empty-handed… and you’ll leave the same way. That doesn’t make life meaningless—it makes your priorities clearer. Money, possessions, status, and control feel solid, but they can’t follow you past the grave. What lasts is what God builds in you: faith, contentment, love, and the work done in His will.
So today, hold things loosely. Use what you have faithfully. Enjoy God’s provision with gratitude… but don’t let temporary things become your security. Your real treasure isn’t what you can save or store—it’s Christ, and the life you have in Him.
Personal Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that this world is not my home. Teach me to hold earthly things lightly, and to value what is eternal. Keep my heart from trusting in riches, and help me to rest in Your care.
Give me contentment, wisdom, and a generous spirit. Let my life honor Christ in how I handle what You’ve entrusted to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
