Reflection on Today's Verse from 1 Corinthians 5:6 - January 15th 2026

Reflection on Today's Verse

That line… “a little leaven”… hits because it’s so true to real life. Most spiritual drift doesn’t start with a big, obvious fall. It starts with a “small” excuse… a tolerated habit… a quiet resentment… a private compromise you keep feeding. And over time, it spreads. It affects your peace, your reactions, your appetite for God’s Word, and even the way you treat people.

But the good news is this: God isn’t exposing things to crush you. He’s warning you because He loves you. He wants freedom, not bondage. When you deal with the “little leaven” early… confess it, cut it off, replace it with truth… you protect your heart and keep your walk clean and steady.

Personal Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank Thee for Thy Word that warneth and guideth me. Forgive me for the small compromises I have allowed, the little leaven I have excused. Search my heart, and show me what must be put away. Give me humility to confess, strength to turn, and grace to walk in sincerity and truth.

Cleanse my thoughts, my words, and my ways. I pray that my life bring honor unto Thee, and keep me from that which would quietly corrupt my peace. I thank Thee for Thy patience and Thy mercy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
