Bible Verse Reflection

Whatever the cause of our difficulties and trials, we have the option of choosing one of two options. We can try to fight by our own power and wonder if God truly cares when the pressure mounts until we give up – or we could remember that God is in charge and be joyful in the Lord and feel it is pure joy and recognize it as one of numerous trials that God can use to refine our faith, build our faith in Him and develop our Christian character, and move us closer to spiritual maturity.

My Prayer

Heavenly Father, I have moments when I am irritated by the trials and tests in my life. But I ask that I will become aware of the trials I have to face with joy, and also the inevitable challenges which come my way as a wonderful occasion to be thankful to You.

It is my prayer that I will take on my daily challenges with joy and know that the test of faith in me will result in determination and perseverance. Help me increase my dependence on You so that I will grow in grace and an understanding about You. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
