But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. — Isaiah 43:1 KJV
But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. — Isaiah 43:1 NIV
Thought and Reflection
We belong to God, the God from all the creation as well as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We are the beneficiaries of God’s mercy and are blessed by His unconditional love for the fathers of Israel. We don’t have to worry because God has the power to determine our future just as God did through the time of His chosen nation to bring the Messiah.
He will be with us through the hardships we’ll have to encounter. He will ensure that we are able to fulfill our promise of redemption. Why? Because we belong to Him and we are His. He knows us. He formed us. The people of God are His for eternity. We are the children of the Almighty God.
