Bible Verses about Obedience

What is obedience of God?

Many have asked the question, “What is obedience of God?” In other words, they want to know what their obedience is to God and what they are required to do. Some have said that obedience of God is a lifestyle while others have said that obedience of God is a task.

What is obedience of God? Obedience is God’s desire to bring one to eternal life. It is not an easy task; therefore, one would have to be very sincere and humble before God in order for obedience to God to be successful.

The first step to obedience is to become aware of the commandment. No matter how diligent one is in keeping the commandments, if he or she is unaware of the commandment, then one would fail to achieve success. The second step to obedience is to do everything possible to obey the commandments. This may include leaving one’s children alone, doing one’s best to pay for the bills, performing one’s duties before God, keeping one’s word in all situations, having patience and stooping down even at the slightest temptation to obey God.

What is obedience of God? The answer to this question would be simple. Obedience is working according to the dictates and instructions of God. One may do things which are in accordance to his or her will. For example, the obedient person may love his or her boss and obey him in every means. This person would behave properly because he or she loves his or her boss so much.

Another example is when a person loves his or her spouse so much that he or she will sacrifice even his or her own life for the sake of his or her spouse. This person will have complete obedience because he or she loves his or her spouse so much. The obedience would be total because he or she has given up his or her own good for the sake of his or her spouse.

What is obedience of God? It would be helpful if we could remember what Jesus taught us when he said: “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 12:31). Jesus was pointing out the importance of obedience in our lives. If we obey God in all areas, then we would also love one another.

Obedience is very important. We have already established that. However, it does not stop there. When we obey God, then he or she will also show us the way.

What is obedience of God? There are many examples and instances where people have given up everything just to follow the directions of God. Do you have an example? How did it end up working out? Are there any other areas of your life where obedience has not worked out as desired? Let us know how it can change your life!

Why is Obedience to God Important?

God is the one who ordered and commanded the creation of the universe and all the animals, plants, and even the creatures we see today to obey him. If we will do things that are good, he will also bless us with more blessings. Why is obedience to God important? In this article I am going to share with you some reasons why obedience to God is important.

First, obedience to God allows us to have a place in his eyes. When we obey him we become part of his flock which means we share his mission with the people. Because of this we will have mercy on the people and they will have mercy on us. The people will be saved because of our obedience and the people will receive mercy because of our obedience.

Second, obedience to God allows us to experience life in a way that we never thought was possible. When we obey him we become free to do as we please in all the things that he has given us authority to do. We do not have to obey everything that he tells us to do but only what is important for us. We do not have to share report or accept responsibility to someone else if we do not feel like doing it. The only way we can get out of this is to obey him.

Third, obedience to God enables us to have joy for ourselves and others. When we obey him we also experience joy because the rewards that he gives us afterwards make us enjoy life even more. This joy comes from within and without; there is no one else in the world that can bring joy into your life but God.

Fourth, obedience to God is the backbone to a happy and successful life. When we obey him we will be rewarded by the presence of God. God does not just provide us with things but also with people to share in our joy and happiness. We are blessed when we obey him and share in his glory. It is by the obedience of the sinner that we are saved and therefore it is by the obedience of the righteous that we experience God’s favor on a daily basis.

Fifth, obedience to God is the best example we can show the world. There are people who live such a boring life that they do not deserve to see any real success. When you walk in the footsteps of righteousness you walk in the path of God. He will never forsake you for the laziness you choose to lead your life.

How Do You Obey God? Discover New Ways to Follow God's Will

How to obey God? This is the most difficult question a believer will face. When you look around and you see people who seem to have God wired into their genes, who think that they are God, and that God cares about them and what they do, it is no wonder that obedience is so hard to come by. Here are a few thoughts to help you understand how to obey God:

What do we mean by “obeying God” and “obeying Gods will”? It seems that working hard, making sacrifices, expending oneself for the Lord, and spending your time and money to follow Him in order to become more like Him is a perfect demonstration of obeying God, yet all too often those who try will come away empty handed and with mounds of debt. Why is this? Is it because they don’t truly obey God and instead want to use those things as a bargaining chip in order to exchange for God’s blessings? Or perhaps it is that they have not truly received any of God’s blessings and think that they can just take what God has given them and use it to become rich and successful without ever having worked a day in their lives. But I ask, how can anyone have a life filled with success and riches, while He owns neither.

It is quite obvious that those who never make any representation towards God will never receive His favor, nor will they ever be able to walk up to God and make demands for Him. Because if God doesn’t answer you back, then where would you be? God wants to have people whom He can answer to, whom He can bless, whom He can praise, and whom He can send down His blessings upon. In the last days, when God allows men to sin, He does not permit those men to have absolute control over Him and the work of God. God’s Word says that when men are in sin, the Holy Ghost will be gone from them, and God will not give them the gift of the Holy Spirit. But if we obey God in doing His will and working out our own plans and lives according to His purposes, we can be assured that we will inherit eternal life with Him and have everlasting life in Him.

So the question still stands, “How do you obey God?” In the past, some people said that they didn’t understand why God gave certain people certain privileges and avoided others. Others said that they couldn’t see the purpose of God’s existence or the Bible. Yet if we really study the Bible closely, we find that God made promises to all of His people that He will fulfill them. And if we obey God and love Him, He’ll bring to us His promised blessings.

What’s the big deal? If God desires my life, and I want to be totally dependent on Him, it’s going to take a very big shift in my behavior in order for me to completely obey Him. It isn’t that I don’t want to obey Him. That’s why I wrote this article. The point is that I have to shift my behavior so that I can let go of my un-obeying mind and let go of the desire to be dependent on God.

God loves me no matter what – so much so that He gave me His most precious possession, all for me! He even said so in the Bible. So what’s stopping me from completely obeying God? If I’m not loving God then why should I obey Him? The answer of course is that I have to love and obey God in order for both of us to be happy.

Bible Verses About Obedience and Faith to God

Bible Verses About Obedience and Faith

By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Bible Verses About Obedience and Faith to God

Obedience quote on John 14:35

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

Bible Verses About Obedience and Blessings

Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.

And keep the charge of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Benefits of Obedience to God

One of the benefits of obedience to God is that we enter into heaven. Obedience to God brings us into the presence of God and Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of God and he has promised that he will come back to earth to reign. We are promised that he will be our King and that he will rule over our lives.

Another benefit of obedience to God is that it purifies us. When we obey God we are purified and our minds become clean before God and he gives us His Holy Spirit to help us in this new life that we are going to enter. We are purified from the evil thoughts of the world because the Bible says that the unclean mind is worse than the spoiled wheat. The scripture also says that the righteous are God’s inheritance. Obedience to God will purify us from the evil within and we will enter into the kingdom of heaven because we have been cleansed from the filthy world that was against us.

And lastly, obedience to our heavenly Father will also lead us to a great life with happiness because he is our very life and our Lord. Obedience to him will make a person live a long life because it leads to eternal life.
