“But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.“
— Galatians 4:4-5 KJV
Reflection on Today's Verse
When everything in the world felt off—corruption, confusion, silence—God sent His Son. Not randomly. Not late. Right on time. Born of a woman. Born under the law. Why? To buy us out of slavery and give us a seat at the table as His kids.
This isn’t a rescue mission with strings attached. It’s full adoption. You’re not a guest in God’s house—you’re family. And Jesus didn’t come just to fix what was broken. He came to claim you. That changes everything. You’re not earning a place anymore. You already belong. That’s what grace looks like with skin on.
Personal Prayer
Father, thank You for sending Jesus at just the right time—for me. Not because I earned it, not because I was ready, but because You are good. You saw me stuck, trying to measure up, and You chose adoption over abandonment.
Thank You that I’m not a slave to fear, to performance, to the law. I’m Yours. A child, not a project. A son, not an outsider. Help me live like that’s true, even on days when I forget.
Remind me today that my worth isn’t up for debate. Jesus settled that. I don’t have to hustle for love—I just have to rest in it. And I do, Lord. I rest in You. Amen.
