Galatians 3:24 – Today’s Verse for September 9, 2025 Tuesday

“Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.“
—  Galatians 3:24 KJV

Reflection on Today's Verse

The law is a stern teacher. It points, never hugs. I’ve tried living by its checklist—polite, tidy, afraid—and it still found a crack in me every time. That’s the point, isn’t it? “The law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ.” A tutor walks you to the door, then steps aside. Only Christ opens it. The law exposes; Jesus heals. The law sketches the outline; grace colors it in. When I start keeping score—again—peace slips through my fingers like sand. But faith isn’t scorekeeping. It’s collapse. It’s trust. Have you noticed shame keeps assigning homework even after class is over? In Christ, the bell has rung. You can put the pencil down. Justified by faith, not by your best day or your worst one. That’s freedom with a backbone.

Personal Prayer

Father, thank You for the schoolmaster that showed me my need and for the Savior who met it. Teach my heart to rest more quickly—less measuring, more receiving. When my conscience shouts rules, let Your Spirit preach Christ. Make faith my first reflex, not fear. And make me gentle with strugglers, the way You’ve been gentle with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
