“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.“
— Galatians 2:20 KJV
Reflection on Today's Verse
This verse isn’t about improving yourself. It’s about getting out of the way. Paul’s not saying, “Here’s how to be better.” He’s saying, “I had to die.”
The old version of us—striving, performing, proving—got nailed to that cross with Christ. What came back to life isn’t a polished-up sinner. It’s a person completely redefined. Christ doesn’t just help us live. He is our life. His power flows through weakness. His grace replaces guilt. His love takes over the wheel.
That’s freedom: not trying harder, but trusting deeper. You’re not dragging around a broken version of yourself anymore. You’re living proof of resurrection.
Personal Prayer
Lord Jesus, I keep trying to fix what You already buried. I forget that I don’t have to perform, impress, or strive—because You already did it all. Let me live like someone who’s died and come back new.
Remind me that I’m not alone in this body—You’re in here too. So today, I won’t ask for strength. I’ll ask for surrender. Not more of me. More of You. Amen.
