Ephesians 6:22 – Today’s Verse for August 23, 2025 Saturday

“Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.“
—  Ephesians 6:22 KJV

Reflection on Today's Verse

Tychicus isn’t a headline. He’s a servant with good shoes and a steady heart. Paul sends him so the church “might know our affairs” and—more—“that he might comfort your hearts.” I love that pairing: facts and comfort. News and balm. Grace doesn’t hover in the air like theory; it shows up wearing a friend’s voice. It walks into a room, names the worry, and sets the heart back on its feet. The comfort isn’t hype either; it’s Christ’s finished work, carried by an ordinary messenger who believes it. God keeps choosing small people to deliver big peace. That sounds like Him.

Who’s your Tychicus? Better—who needs you to be one today? I think of times a simple text landed like rain on dry ground. Not clever. Just present. Gospel in a sentence: “You are held.” We don’t earn this comfort; we pass it along, like bread we didn’t bake. Let your calendar become a delivery route for grace. Knock. Enter. Listen. Leave people lighter than you found them.

Personal Prayer

Father, thank You for sending comfort through real people. Anchor my own heart in Jesus’ finished work so I’m not stingy with peace. Put a name on my mind and send me, like Tychicus—clear, gentle, timely.

Give me words that quiet storms, ears that don’t rush, and courage to show up. Let Your grace travel through me today. Amen.
