Ephesians 4:25 – Today’s Verse for June 11, 2025 Wednesday

“Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.“
—  Ephesians 4:25 KJV

Reflection on Today's Verse

Lying isn’t just about telling bold-faced lies. Sometimes it’s silence when truth is needed. Or pretending we’re fine when we’re actually falling apart. Paul calls us out here—not because he’s wagging a finger, but because honesty isn’t optional in a body that’s supposed to work together. Imagine if your foot lied to your brain about stepping on a nail. Pain ignored becomes infection.

Truth matters. Not the brutal, careless kind, but the courageous kind. The kind that builds trust, heals wounds, and refuses to wear masks. When we speak the truth—especially when it’s hard—we’re not just being moral. We’re being whole. Together.

And if we’re really one body, then your honesty strengthens my integrity. My transparency makes space for your healing. No fake smiles. No polished lies. Just truth, spoken in love, because that’s what keeps this Body breathing.

Personal Prayer

Lord, teach me to love truth more than comfort. Help me let go of the little lies I tell to protect myself—those polite cover-ups, those quiet avoidances. Give me the courage to be honest, even when it’s awkward, even when it costs me something.

Make my words trustworthy. Let my relationships be built on truth, not performance. Remind me that I’m part of something bigger—Your Body—and when I hide behind falsehood, I wound what You’re trying to heal. Shape my heart to speak truth in love, with grace, with humility, with purpose. Let my life be real, and may that realness reflect You. Amen.
