Ephesians 4:15 – Today’s Verse for March 26, 2025 Wednesday

“But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.
Ephesians 4:15 KJV

Reflection on Today's Verse

When I think about this verse, I picture two important things: truth and love. They have to go together. Truth without love can feel harsh or cold. Love without truth can become shallow or empty. But when we put truth and love together, something powerful happens.

God wants us to be honest with each other. He wants us to tell the truth—even if it’s hard. But He also wants us to do it gently, patiently, and kindly. He wants us to speak from the heart, not just from the head.

Sometimes telling the truth can be uncomfortable. Maybe a friend is making harmful choices, and you feel nervous to speak up. Or maybe you’re worried about hurting someone’s feelings. But if your heart is full of love, you won’t tear people down. Instead, your words will encourage them. They’ll see you’re on their side.

The more we practice speaking truth lovingly, the more we grow like Jesus. He always spoke truth, even when it was hard. But He always did it with kindness. He cared deeply about every person He talked to.

This is how we grow up in our faith. By speaking truth kindly, we help each other become more like Christ. It strengthens friendships and builds trust. It makes us mature believers who reflect Jesus in our everyday lives.

Today, let’s remember to keep truth and love together. Let’s be honest with each other but always with gentleness. That’s how real growth happens, and that’s how we become the people God wants us to be.

Personal Prayer

Father, teach me how to speak the truth with love. Sometimes I hold back because I’m scared, or I say too much and hurt someone. I want my words to be honest but gentle. Help me not to avoid truth, but also not to use it like a weapon. Give me a heart that cares more about helping than being right.

Make me more like Jesus in the way I talk to people. Let my words bring healing, not harm. Help me grow in love, wisdom, and courage. Show me how to build others up with kindness and truth. Lead my heart so that what I say reflects You. Amen.
