Ephesians 2:19-20 – Today’s Verse for July 12, 2025 Saturday

“Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.“
—  Ephesians 2:19-20 KJV

Reflection on Today's Verse

You belong. Not because you earned it. Not because you managed to follow all the rules or keep it together every day. You belong because Jesus brought you in.

This verse snaps us out of the lie that we’re outsiders trying to earn our way in. If you’re in Christ, you’re not knocking at the door—you live in the house. You’re not visiting God’s grace like a polite guest. You’re family. You sit at the table, you have fridge rights, and your name is carved into the foundation.

And that foundation? It’s not shifting sand. It’s truth passed down through apostles and prophets, cemented by Christ himself—the cornerstone that holds it all in place. He doesn’t just make the structure strong. He is the structure. When the storms come—and they will—it’s this unshakable truth that keeps everything from collapsing.

So if you’ve been feeling lost, like you’re floating on the edges of faith or community, remember this: You’re not an outsider. You’re home. Built in, brick by brick, with Christ anchoring it all.

Personal Prayer

Father, thank You for pulling me in when I didn’t deserve it. I don’t want to live like a guest in Your grace—I want to live like I belong, because You say I do. Help me walk in that truth, not with pride, but with steady confidence in Your love.

Make me a strong part of what You’re building. Remind me daily that Jesus is my foundation, not my efforts. And when I forget, bring me back to the cornerstone. Amen.
