Ephesians 2:10 – Today’s Verse for August 21, 2025 Thursday

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.“
—  Ephesians 2:10 KJV

Reflection on Today's Verse

We’re not self-made; we’re God-made. Not a patchwork of improvements but a poem He wrote on purpose. This verse says we’re His workmanship—crafted, not cobbled; created in Christ, not in our hustle. The “good works” aren’t auditions for approval. They’re appointments already set on the calendar of grace. What if that small task in front of you—answering the hard text, fixing the quiet mistake, showing up with a clear conscience—was scheduled by mercy? I’ve noticed the days I stop trying to look impressive are the days I actually love people. Less noise, more obedience. Less sprint, more walk.

“Walk in them,” Paul says. Not scramble. Not clamor. Walk—like someone who knows they’re already home. The path is ordinary and holy at the same time: the invoice you don’t pad, the compliment you don’t fish for, the rehearsal you do until the song serves the room instead of your ego. You don’t have to invent a legacy; you just keep step with the One who prepared it. And if you feel behind, remember—grace is not a stopwatch. It’s a Shepherd.

Personal Prayer

Father, settle my heart in the truth that I am Your workmanship. Give me eyes to notice the works You’ve prepared today and feet that move without posturing.

Save me from proving myself; anchor me in Christ. Let my words heal, my choices ring clean, and my steps match Your pace. Amen.
